Lightweight Mouldings Profiles

Description

EuroMoulds are a light weight easy to affix moulding of many sizes and shapes, from smaller architrave and stringer moulds which are light weight solids to larger parapet and waist moulds which are light weight cored profiles, the core filler being a medium grade polystyrene. The composition of the solids and the solid surrounds around the cored profile is basically an acrylic modified fibre reinforced cementitious material that retains some flexibility as well as a long life expectancy.
Most moulds come in a 2.4m or 3.0m length.

Application

Euroset Trading Pty Ltd has produced our EuroGlue together with a liquid mixer that is ideal for attaching the moulds to various masonry surfaces. The light weight solid moulds should have a mechanical fastener applied at every 800 to 1m centres. The EuroGlue can be used to fill in the rebated screw head areas as well as being the joining glue between moulds. Care should be taken that the glue completely fills the top and bottom face between the mould and walls. When attaching the larger light weight cored profiles, depending on the size of the profile the mechanical fastening centres may need to be only 600mm apart. Once again care should be taken to make certain that the top and the bottom of the moulds where they attach to the wall are completely sealed with EuroGlue.
As EuroMoulds are principally a cementicious material there may be from time to time some slight differential expansion and contraction compared with the attaching wall, and consequently it may be advisable between the lengths of moulds to leave a 2 to 3mm gap which can be filled with a satisfactory flexible caulking compound and then painted over with EuroFlex paint.
